About the Artist

Julie White received an art scholarship to Art Center College of Design and graduated with a minor in Art History
from UCLA. She trained over 10 years under North Carolina portrait sculptor, Cantey Kelleher and has since
painted almost exclusively. She has studied under Charlotte oil painters Andy Braitman and Curt Butler as well as
internationally-acclaimed water color artist Mary Whyte.
"Because of my portrait sculpting background I rely heavily on rubber tipped tools, wooden picks, and sometimes even
use my fingers to paint." Multiple layers of acrylic, oil and encaustic are applied to every painting. Julie works almost entirely
from commissioned requests. "I love the entire process of commissioned bookings, and strive to make sure every client is 100%
satisfied and feels included in the process from start to finish. Multiple photos are sent to the client as I paint to to ensure the
completed painting is exactly what the client wants. Varied, personal commissioned requests are all valued and honored.
Hearing how the paintings have blessed people brings me immense joy."

Julie's paintings are in collections throughout the United States - references and commission contract available upon request.
